Research has found that older adults with an active lifestyle feel healthier. It doesn’t take much. Thirty minutes of moderate activity most days of the week. Or if you’re a little rusty you can take your exercise in three lots of ten minutes. Exercise. You only have to take it regularly, not seriously!
It’s never too late to start. The rewards are fantastic. Besides feeling better you’ll reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke, colon cancer and diabetes. Other benefits include stronger bones, less risk of injury through falls, more supple joints, improved breathing and weight control. And research has found that moderate activity will give you a natural high an improved sense of general well being. Before starting any vigorous exercise, men over 40 and women over 50 should seek their doctor’s advice.

Fit and Fun is a low impact class with the emphasis on fun while getting fit.||An excellent form of exercise for those seeking a lite pace alternative. These classes are low impact, and deliver all the benefits of land exercise without running and jumping. These classes are done in the water.|
Stay for afternoon tea & coffee, chat & make new friends. Take a swim, spa or sauna.
