Ripples Squads is a progressive and comprehensive multi-tiered swimming training program that is designed to prepare swimmers for competition at all levels as well as for those that are focussed primarily on their fitness outcomes. The squad levels concentrate on building strength and stamina whilst continually advancing stroke technique.
Swimmers new to the Ripples program must be assessed by either our Head or Assistant Coach prior to being placed in a Squad. Bookings are essential; please contact the centre for further details.
Swim Development Pathway
Progression through the Swimmer Development Pathway
At the completion of the two major competition periods each year, Australian Championships Long Course and State Championships Short Course, swimmers in all squads are assessed by coaching staff to identify which squad is appropriate for the coming preparation cycle. Progression through the development pathway is determined by the coaching staff’s assessment of a swimmer’s progress, training application, competition results as well as the availability of vacant positions in the appropriate squad. Swimmers who demonstrate exceptional standards may progress through the development pathway at any time throughout the year. Swimmers who fail to maintain standards and requirements may be moved down or have their place in the program terminated.
